How Much Does Pool Cleaning Cost in Broward County, FL?

Most homeowners pay $60–$295 a month for weekly service across our Good, Better, and Best plans, depending on pool size, enclosure, and nearby trees. Here's exactly how we price it, plus an instant estimate.

Plans

Choose your plan

Every plan includes a weekly visit and water testing. The difference is how much of the physical work we handle, and what's covered beyond the basics.

Good

$60/mo starting

For hands-on owners who don't mind the physical work.

  • Water testing & chemical balancing
  • Pump & skimmer basket emptying
  • You handle brushing & vacuuming
  • Chemical service report after every visit

Best

$165/mo starting

Everything handled, plus the maintenance most owners forget.

  • Everything in Better, plus:
  • Monthly cartridge deep-clean / degrease
  • Phosphate treatments included
  • Storm priority cleanup
  • Salt cell quarterly acid wash (salt pools)

Starting prices shown are for a small pool with no enclosure, heavy tree coverage, or salt system. Use the calculator below for your exact setup.

What actually drives the price

On top of your plan, a few things move the number more than anything else:

  • Pool size (gallons). This is the biggest factor: bigger pools take more time to vacuum, brush, and dose. But the price doesn't scale 1-to-1 with volume; a lot of the time in a visit (drive, setup, testing) doesn't change with pool size.
  • Screened enclosure. An enclosed pool collects far less leaf and debris buildup than an open one, which typically brings the price down $10–$20/month depending on pool size: bigger pool, bigger screened area, bigger discount. Since the screen keeps debris out regardless of what's overhead, it overrides the tree surcharge below rather than stacking with it.
  • Heavy tree coverage. Oak, ficus, mango, and other broadleaf trees drop debris year-round in South Florida, adding $20–$35/month in extra skimming and brushing for an open pool, more for larger pools, which have more open surface for debris to land on. Palm fronds are lower-volume and usually don't move the price, and a screened enclosure cancels this out entirely.
  • Salt vs. traditional chlorine. Salt pools need stabilizer monitoring, salinity checks, and periodic salt cell acid cleaning on top of the standard routine, which typically adds $15–$25/month depending on pool size. This stacks with the enclosure/tree adjustment above rather than replacing it.
  • Equipment. Heaters and older plumbing can affect repair costs down the line, though they don't change the base weekly cleaning rate.

Pool cleaning costs by area

Coral Springs, FL

Coral Springs' mature oak and ficus canopy means many homes fall into the tree-surcharge tier, adding about $20/month to the base rate. A medium pool typically runs $130–$160/month depending on tree cover, with newer or more open communities landing at the lower end. See neighborhoods we serve in Coral Springs →

Tamarac, FL

Broward County overall

Across Broward County, our Better plan (most customers' choice) typically runs $110–$120/month for a small pool up to $190–$200/month for a large estate pool, with screened enclosures and heavy tree coverage shifting the price $10–$35/month in either direction depending on pool size, and a saltwater system adding another $15–$25/month on top. Our Good plan runs about 55% of Better for owners who handle their own brushing and vacuuming, and our Best plan (full service plus monthly filter deep-cleans, phosphate treatments, and storm priority cleanup) runs about 1.5x Better.

Questions

Pricing questions

What's the difference between the Good, Better, and Best plans?

Good covers water testing, chemical balancing, pump/skimmer basket emptying, and a chemical service report after every visit, with the homeowner handling their own brushing and vacuuming. Better adds full vacuuming, skimming, brushing, an equipment inspection, and a photo added to every service report, and is what most customers choose. Best adds a monthly cartridge deep-clean/degrease, included phosphate treatments, storm priority cleanup, and a quarterly salt cell acid wash for salt pools.

How much does pool cleaning cost per month in Broward County, FL?

It depends on the plan and pool size. Our Good plan starts around $60/month for lighter, DIY-assisted service; our Better plan (the most common choice) runs $110–$240/month depending on pool size; and our Best plan, with monthly filter deep-cleans and other extras, runs $165–$360/month. A medium Better-plan pool without trees nearby runs $130–$140/month; a screened enclosure brings that down, and non-palm trees or a saltwater system add to it.

How much does pool cleaning cost in Coral Springs, FL?

Coral Springs' mature oak and ficus canopy means many homes fall into the tree-surcharge tier, adding about $20/month to the base rate. A medium pool typically runs $130–$160/month depending on tree cover, with open, newer communities landing at the lower end.

How much does pool cleaning cost in Tamarac, FL?

Tamarac has one of the highest concentrations of private, screened-in pools in Broward County, and that enclosure typically brings the price down about $10/month versus an open pool of the same size. A medium enclosed pool usually runs $120–$130/month.

Is the online pricing calculator a real quote?

No. It's a ballpark estimate based on typical pool setups, not a formal quote. Your exact price depends on your pool's specific condition and equipment, which we confirm for free before any service starts. Call (954) 507-2202 or request a quote online.

Does a screened enclosure lower the price?

Yes, typically $10–$20/month depending on pool size, since enclosed pools collect far less leaf and debris buildup than open pools, even ones surrounded by heavy tree cover, since the screen keeps that debris out.

Do trees near the pool increase the price?

For an open pool, yes. Non-palm trees like oak, ficus, and mango drop debris year-round in South Florida, which usually adds $20–$35/month in extra skimming and brushing depending on pool size. If the pool has a screened enclosure, tree cover doesn't add anything, since the screen is already keeping that debris out.

Does a saltwater pool cost more to maintain than a chlorine pool?

Yes, typically $15–$25/month more depending on pool size. Salt pools need stabilizer monitoring, salinity checks, and periodic salt cell acid cleaning on top of the standard weekly routine, and that surcharge stacks with any enclosure discount or tree surcharge rather than replacing it.
